STP.04 proposes updating the price pairs provided by the Flare Time Series Oracle to better match the current and expected data needs of developers on the network.
The Flare Time Series Oracle delivers highly-decentralized price and data feeds to dapps on Flare, without relying on centralized providers. There are separate versions of the FTSO active on the Songbird and Flare networks. Both currently provide 12 price pairs, calculated against USD.
The current 12 price pairs on the Songbird network are ADA, ALGO, BCH, BTC, DGB, DOGE, ETH, FIL, LTC, SGB, XLM & XRP. The proposed changes are as follows:
- Add 8 pairs: ARB, AVAX, BNB, MATIC, SOL, USDC, USDT & XDC.
- Remove 2 pairs: BCH and DGB.
If the proposal is approved by the community, the list of supported price pairs on Songbird will be: ADA, ALGO, ARB, AVAX, BNB, BTC, DOGE, ETH, FIL, LTC, MATIC, SGB, SOL, USDC, USDT, XDC, XLM & XRP. Because this is a Songbird Test Proposal (STP) rather than a Songbird Improvement Proposal (SIP), a proposal for a similar change to the FTSO on Flare will then follow.
Read the full details of the proposal on the Governance Proposal Repository. Wrap your SGB before Saturday 27 May to participate in the vote. Voting will commence several days later on the Flare Portal.
