Guide to claiming the FAssets Retroactive Airdrop

Flare Updates

Flare is distributing a retroactive airdrop to reward early users who participated in FAssets testing on Coston while remaining active on both Flare and Songbird. If you contributed to testing and met the criteria, you may receive a share of up to $1,000 of rFLR. This guide will outline who is eligible, how allocations are determined, and what steps to take to claim your airdrop.

What is the FAssets retroactive airdrop?

The airdrop is a one-time distribution of rFLR rewards to thank Flare community members who helped test the FAssets protocol on the Coston test network. The tests were critical in preparing the protocol for mainnet readiness and ensuring scalability, security, and usability. Throughout the run of the test, a total of 46,969 unique wallets participated.

Claim period for qualifying participants:

  • Claim start: May 28, 2025
  • Claim end: No fixed end date (vesting period is 12 months as always)

To see if you qualify, please continue reading.

Who is eligible?

Not eligible:

There are certain criteria that were excluded from airdrop eligibility. The following exclusions apply to those who held a higher balance of FAssets than the limit:

  • All wallets that held an FTestXRP balance of more than 1,000 after the announcement on July 26, 2024, 00:00 UTC are NOT eligible
  • All wallets that did not redeem their FTestXRP before the XRP testnet reset on August 19, 2024 are NOT eligible to claim the airdrop.

  • All wallets that held an FTestDoge balance of more than 2,000 are NOT eligible

Note that these exclusions apply only to Coston testing. Any activity after the final snapshot is not considered for airdrop eligibility.

What are the allocation details?

Allocations for the retroactive airdrop are tiered, based on participation impact. Individual rewards range from $10 to $1,000 worth of rFLR.

rFLR is Flare’s reward token used to incentivize participation in governance and ecosystem activity, such as staking. For more information on rFLR, please refer to our rFLR guide.
