In celebration of hitting 2 years since FLR distribution, we are pleased to announce the Flare Content Creation Bounty; an opportunity for participants to showcase Flare for a chance to win rewards.
Hosted on BountyCaster, the Flare Content Creation Bounty seeks to inspire creators to make high-quality educational content that spreads the word about the Flare ecosystem, including FAssets, utility, delegation, staking mechanics, network incentives, and other core features. Interested participants are encouraged to tap into their creativity to produce content promoting Flare’s real-world use cases. The reward pool for the Flare Content Creation Bounty is $10,000 in FLR, given out over a four-week period.
Submission period: January 9, 2025 – February 7, 2025.
Submissions are due at 3pm UTC on Thursday of each week (1st week deadline January 16)

Eligible Content Types
In the spirit of including a wide range of creators with different skillsets, there are several content mediums that are eligible for submission.
1. Videos
If you’re a skilled editor or videographer, consider submitting any of the following:
- Tutorials: Pick a specific topic and provide a step-by-step walkthrough (e.g. “How to delegate FLR”).
- Explainers: Tackle larger, ecosystem-level topics or concepts (e.g. “How does the FTSO deliver decentralized data feeds to dapps?”).
- Memes: Use your crypto degen abilities to create eye-catching videos that highlight Flare’s core components in a fun and relatable way.
Videos must be hosted on public platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, or X. (Check out the Flare YouTube channel for inspiration)
2. Written Content
For any strong writers interested in participating, submit any of the following types of written content:
- Blogs or Guides: Dive deep into a topic of your choice, and write in an engaging and easily digestible way. Submissions can be published on X Article, Medium, Substack, or other similar blog publishing platforms.
- Twitter threads: If you’re fluent in social media, create an engaging and eye-catching thread that highlights Flare.
3. Infographics
If pictures can say a thousand words, we’d love to see your visual representations of key aspects of Flare in formats anywhere from academic infographics to crypto native memes.
4. Interactive Content
For the tech savvy, create a demo or prototype dApp that showcases the power of Flare’s enshrined data protocols.
Submission Requirements
To ensure that submissions are impactful and of high quality, each of the aforementioned content submission types must follow these guidelines:
Technical Guidelines:
- Videos must be hosted on public platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, or X. (Check out the Flare YouTube channel for inspiration)
- Blog posts and guides must be at least 500 words minimum, and include images or visuals.
- All content must accurately feature Flare branding and information. (For use: Flare brand assets & FAsset brand assets)
- All technical information must be correct. (Refer to Docs or the Dev Hub)
Content Guidelines:
- Both creativity and originality are key for any submissions.
- Content must be clear and easy-to-understand, with newcomer audiences in mind.
- Center Flare, DeFi on Flare, or FAssets as the main focus of your submission, highlighting the unique value proposition.
Restrictions:
- Plagiarism is grounds for immediate disqualification from the contest. Please do not use any copyrighted materials without proper permissions.
- Content should not use misleading information, nor should it make any empty promises or guarantees.
- Content pieces created within 1 calendar month prior (December 9, 2024) to our bounty announcement can be submitted for consideration, but will not be eligible for special bonuses detailed in the next section.
- Each participant can only win 1 bounty reward per week.
Now that you know what content you can submit, let’s look at what you could potentially win.
Reward Structure
The Content Creation Bounty will employ a tiered reward structure. The total reward pool consists of $10,000 in FLR distributed over a four-week period – starting on January 9, 2025 and ending on February 7, 2025. Winners will be selected and rewarded weekly.
Here’s the breakdown:
Special bonuses: There is an additional 1,000 FLR bonus for any submissions that receive more than 5,000 engagements (views, likes, shares) on a single social post by February 7. This can be on any platform mentioned above.
Weekly Submission Deadlines:
Week 1: January 16
Week 2: January 23
Week 3: January 30
Week 4: February 6
Submissions are due at 3pm UTC each week on the above days.
Submit Your Entry
Once you’ve finished creating your masterpiece, all that’s left is to submit it and wait for a designated judging panel of Flare team members to select the winners.
Submitting is quick and easy:
- Head to X and reply under this tweet with a link to your submission.
- Provide a one-line description of your submission.
Evaluation Criteria
The judging panel will go through each submission and select the winners based on the following scoring metrics:
- Creativity and originality (30%)
- Educational value (25%)
- Visual and technical quality (25%)
- Community engagement (20%)
The panel of judges will begin evaluating each submission from launch on January 9, 2025, all the way through February 7, 2025.
Once the winning entries are selected, they will be announced on Flare’s official channels, to showcase your creations to ensure you receive visibility and recognition for your hard work.
