Flare 101 Series: How do I set up Autoclaiming for my FlareDrops and my delegation rewards?

If you’ve acquired FLR and wrapped it into WFLR, you’re eligible to receive a share of the monthly FlareDrops.

Additionally, if you’ve delegated your WFLR to an FTSO data provider, you’re also earning a share of the rewards they receive for delivering secure decentralized data feeds to the network.

However, the rewards themselves are not transferred to your wallet automatically. You still need to actively claim them.

FlareDrops accrue every 30 days until January 30, 2026, according to the below schedule. Unclaimed FlareDrops are burned after 67 days.

FTSO delegation rewards accrue every 3.5 days. To benefit from compounding rewards, it’s recommended that you claim twice a week. Unclaimed delegation rewards are burned after 90 days.

To avoid losing any unclaimed rewards, consider autoclaiming.

Why Autoclaiming?

Autoclaiming (short for “automatic claiming”) is a great tool for maximizing your rewards, as it allows a holder to start benefiting from compounded rewards as soon as possible.

Setting up autoclaiming also saves you time and avoids unnecessary exposure of your cold wallet by appointing an executor to claim rewards on your behalf.

Autoclaiming is secure, as it’s managed by a smart contract. The executor cannot claim to any address but the one you provide. They will claim any outstanding delegation rewards or FlareDrops. Executors are independent of Flare and charge a small fee for performing their service.

How to set up Autoclaiming

If you use Bifrost Wallet, you can easily set up autoclaiming in app. Click on FLR or WFLR in the wallet, click the three dots at the top right and press delegate, then tap view more in the rewards section and follow the prompts.

You can also set up autoclaiming using the Flare Portal, but this will require manually obtaining and inputting an executors’ Flare address. You can also use the Bifrost Wallet executor here. Copy the Bifrost Claim Bot address and head to the Flare Portal. Connect with your wallet of choice, click ‘Add’ in the Executor section and then paste the address.

How to disable Autoclaiming

To disable autoclaiming and stop paying the executor fees, go through the claiming process again, clear the Executor address field, and confirm while leaving the address field empty.

Once you confirm the transaction in your wallet, autoclaiming is disabled.
