Blockchain for data, Flare, today announced that it has been integrated by Subsquid, a global network that provides free, fast and decentralized data access to developers and the applications that they build. The integration makes historical data on the Flare blockchain available for developers using the Subsquid network.
Subsquid is a full-stack blockchain indexing solution consisting of an open-source SDK, specialized data lakes for on-chain data and a hosted service. Developers building decentralized applications can tap into the Flare blockchain to access large volumes of historical on-chain data through the distributed data lake of Subsquid.
The open-source Subsquid SDK features a highly customizable ETL query stack beneficial for indexing events, transactions and traces. Developers can utilize the SDK to build custom data pipelines and application programming interfaces (APIs) that retrieve data from the ecosystem. External API calls are also available, meaning developers can use Subsquid SDK to aggregate data from Flare APIs.
Commenting on Subsquid’s open-source approach to data accessibility, Flare Co-Founder and CEO Hugo Philion said, “As we look to provide developers with the best possible tools, we have been very impressed with Subsquid’s commitment to open source approach and the speed of the indexing system they have built from the ground up.”
“We are thrilled to bring Flare into our decentralized data lake, enabling developers to rapidly and permissionlessly retrieve data from the network without having to use an archive node,” said Dmitry Zhelezov, Subsquid CEO and co-founder, adding that both parties are looking forward to collaborating on developer engagement initiatives.
