Position Overview: The Business Development role will drive the growth of Flare's ecosystem by supporting strategic partnerships, fostering activity, and assisting applications building on Flare. This role requires a strong interest in blockchain data, ecosystem development, and responsiveness to partner needs.

Reports to: Head of Business Development Location: Remote (with overlapping hours with UAE and USA)


Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

Ecosystem Development:

  • Contribute to the execution of ecosystem growth initiatives and support the onboarding of new projects building on Flare.
  • Identify, engage with and support partnerships with high-impact applications, protocols, and infrastructure providers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering to support successful dApp launches using Flare protocols.
  • Support the growth of our grants program by sourcing and evaluating high-quality projects that align with Flare’s strategic objectives.

Partnerships, Community, and Industry Engagement:

  • Support and maintain relationships with ecosystem-critical partners like RPC providers, oracles, wallets, and exchanges, as well as on-chain dApps like lending protocols, DEXs, and other DeFi applications.
  • Recruit and directly manage ambassadors who actively participate in and promote Flare's protocols.
  • Stay hyper-plugged into new crypto developments, industry trends, and emerging use cases to identify opportunities where Flare can add unique value.
  • Represent Flare at major industry conferences, hackathons, and meetups.

Collaboration & Internal Alignment:

  • Partner with marketing to execute educational and promotional campaigns focused on Flare’s capabilities.
  • Coordinate with the product and engineering teams to align ecosystem growth with protocol development.


Role Requirements:

  • Proficiency: Ability to analyze and interpret blockchain data to support growth strategies.
  • Partner Success: Passion for helping ecosystem partners succeed and responsiveness to their needs.
  • Technical Understanding: Familiarity with blockchain architecture, DeFi protocols, and analytics tools.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work flexible hours to accommodate international teams.
  • Willingness to Learn: A proactive attitude toward learning and adapting to new developments in the crypto space.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in blockchain technology and eagerness to learn about crypto.
  • Hyper-glued to new crypto developments and industry trends, with a strong understanding of how emerging trends can intersect with Flare's capabilities.
  • Familiarity with all the new dApps and budding ecosystem L1s and L2s, along with the respective dApps that are seeing growth.
  • Familiarity with ecosystem flywheels, developer engagement strategies, and protocol adoption mechanics
