Flare is pleased to announce the addition of 12 new block-latency price feeds.
The new feeds will update incrementally with each new block on Flare, approximately every 1.8 seconds. These feeds are free to query on Flare, enabling innovative dApps to access up-to-date information without incurring additional costs.
Here are the twelve new price feeds:
- TON
- SUI
- PEPE
- AAVE
- FTM
- ONDO
- TAO
- RNDR
- NOT
- RUNE
- HNT
- QNT
Adding these 12 feeds will bring the total number on FTSO to 50, which we believe would be valuable for a healthy Defi ecosystem on Flare. Check all the supported feeds performing live on the Flare Systems Explorer.
How are these 12 new price feeds selected?
These new feeds were identified using the below criteria:
- All coins are within the top 100 on CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap.
- All coins have at least $200mm trading volume over a period of 24 hours.
- All coins are listed on leading centralized exchanges – Binance, Coinbase, Bybit, OKX and Upbit.
- All coins have a strong social engagement across X, Telegram and Discord.
They were then voted on using the process outlined in the approved STP.08 and FIP.08 governance proposals.
FTSO can now scale up to 1000 feeds. If your dApps need additional price feeds beyond what is currently available, you can raise a New Feed Request Issue using this form: New Feed Request Form.
How is FTSO powering the DeFi ecosystem on Flare?
The upgraded FTSO enables secure, fast, scalable , and cost-effective decentralized price feed that is crucial to Flare’s DeFi dapps. DeFi projects require ultra-fast and accurate decentralized data. For example, Kinetic is already using FTSO’s data for loan settlements and liquidations, while SparkDEX’s v3 DEX leverages FTSO’s fast and reliable data feeds to dynamically set user funding rates and settle agreements efficiently.
The FTSO also accelerates Flare’s DeFi innovation with:
- Guaranteed security: Every single feed is secured by the entire network. Developers and users alike, no longer need to worry about security configuration and cost of individual feeds.
- Reliability: It operates with robust decentralization due to 67% of FLR’s circulating supply being staked or delegated by users, and because no individual data provider controls more than 3.3% of the total stake.
- Accessibility: FTSO currently offers all feeds at no cost, and is easy-to-use. Developers need only to write fewer than 10 source lines of code to get started. Refer to the Flare Developer Hub to quickly integrate FTSO feeds to your dApp.
